Police in Brunswick are looking for three men involved in the attempted armed robbery and shooting of a 43-year-old man Monday evening.
Police were called to the 1700 block of Norwich Street just after 7 p.m. and found Wilfredo Calix-Flores shot in the arm. His injury was not life-threatening. He was treated at a hospital and released.
Police said Jose Luis Rivera-Chavez was with Calix-Flores when they were approached by three men. One of them brandished a handgun, pointed it at the two men and demanded money and cellphones, police said.
When the victims told them they didn't have either, the man with the gun shot Calix-Flores and the three robbers fled.
Anyone with any information about shooting and attempted robbery is asked to call Detective Roy Blackstock at 912-267-5091 or the Silent Witness Hotline at 912-267-5516.
