A fugitive listed on Nassau County's Top 10 Most Wanted was arrested on drug charges at an apartment complex in Kingsland.
According to the Camden County Sheriff's Office, investigators learned that 41-year-old Vincent Jones Jr. was staying in Pine Haven Apartments. Investigators made contact with Jones at the apartment complex Monday and took him into custody without incident.
As Investigators were arresting him, they made contact with 26-year-old Tyrone Taylor, of Kingsland, who was also in the apartment. Investigators said they saw controlled substances in plain view throughout the apartment and also arrested Taylor.
Investigators said they obtained a search warrant and found more controlled substances and instruments used to manufacture drugs inside the apartment. They found powder cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and a digital scale, along with a loaded handgun and counterfeit U.S. currency.
Jones was charged with one count each of trafficking cocaine/marijuana, possession of cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Taylor was charged with one count of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Jones and Taylor were transported to the Camden County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Complex in Woodbine and were awaiting a bond hearing.
