BRUNSWICK, Ga. -

Police are looking for a 20-year-old man who got away from Brunswick officers as he was being taken to jail early Wednesday morning.

According to the Brunswick Police Department, James Edwards Samuels-Danielsgale was attempting to hide from officers conducting a patrol in the 1700 block of Amherst Street about 3 a.m. When he was apprehended after a search, officers said several hydocodone pills in his possession.

After Samuel-Danielsgale was processed at the Brunswick police station then as he was wearing handcuffs he was being escorted to a patrol car parked behind the station when he took off running. A perimeter was established and a search conducted, but Samuels-Danielsgale was not found.

He is wanted on charges of possession of schedule II drugs, escape, theft by taking as well as loitering and browsing.

Samuels-Danielsgale is described as having brown hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 155 pounds. He has several tattoos, including the grim reaper on his right shoulder and a tiger with the words Harmony and Young on his right arm.
