Brunswick resident Becky Morosky, an experienced nurse, was nominated by Kelly and Ken Trowbridge, officials said.

In her nomination letter, the Trowbridges said, "Becky manages to not only be superb around clinical needs, but she also has the ability to empathize and make each family feel the care of their loved one is of the upmost importance."

Morosky was selected as a southeast finalist for the Nurse of the Year. Working with the nominating franchisee, the company arranged for a surprise "reveal event" at Alzheimer's of Glynn/Brunswick, complete with a trophy, cake, monetary prize and a speech by the Trowbridges, officials said.
