Police in Glynn County suspect foul play in the disappearance of a 22-year-old mother of two who was last seen Tuesday at her job, Golden Isles Harley-Davidson located at 153 Venture Drive in Brunswick. Police say she left at 11 a.m. on July 16th for lunch and did not return.
Police said Amber Whited's car, a 1992 white Honda Accord, was found at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, about seven miles away from her workplace.
The keys were in the car, the windows were rolled down, and there was a flat tire, police said.
A white man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with dark colored hair wearing a white t-shirt was seen leaving the vehicle around 4 to 5 p.m. on July 16th, according to police.
"This is crazy. This is not her," said Whited's aunt, Martha Allen. "This is not my niece, she doesn't do this. She's a good mom. She has a good job. Doesn't get into trouble like this. Whoever did this, just give her back to us. That's all we want."
Friends said they are concerned about Whited because the father of one of her children recently got out of prison. Police confirmed that.
"I'm gonna get in my truck later and we gonna go down a dirt road," said Whited's friend, Jeremy Lott. "I don't want to go down dirt roads, because it's usually the worst thing ever to go down dirt roads, but I'm searching everywhere tonight. Just searching you know, hoping for the best."
"I'm very worried about it. I hate to say it but I'm very worried. I wish she'd come back," said Whited's friend, Jessica Sylvia. "I hate to say it but I'm hoping for the best. Don't wanna think nothing but the worst."
