Man, 22, pleads guilty to enticing minors into sex acts

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A 22-year-old Waycross man pleaded guilty this week to enticement of minors to engage in sex acts and to the production of child pornography.

Donnell Shavers will be sentenced after the completion of a pre-sentence investigation by the U.S. Probation Office.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the case against Shavers and his co-defendant Jacques Taylor arose out of a joint investigation by Homeland Security Investigations and the Ware County Sheriff's Office, with additional assistance from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, which is a nationwide U. S. Department of Justice initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
