Two officers responded to the home in the 100 block of Emanuel Farm Road at Transvilla Mobile Home Park at about 8:15 p.m. after the resident said it appeared his home had been broken into.

Officers said they saw signs of forced entry and noticed smoke coming from inside.

They found the kitchen stove on and materials on the stove burning. One officer was able to extinguish the fire and turn off some of the stove's burners before making his way through the smoke to find the electrical panel to trip the circuit breakers to the home, police said.

Both officers made it out of the home safely. The home was empty and no injuries were reported.

Investigators determined the fire was arson.

They said after interviewing the resident and canvassing the immediate area for witnesses, police were able to identify, locate and arrest Blake.

Police said the case is still under investigation, and anyone with any information about the arson is asked to call the Glynn County Police Department at 912-554-7807 or Silent Witness at 912-264-1333.
