Police: Bank robbery may be related to another holdup

Glynn County police released this image of a bank robber at the Ameris Bank on New Jesup Highway.

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Police are searching for a man who they say robbed the Ameris Bank located at 5340 New Jesup Highway around 11:30 a.m. Monday in Glynn County.

Police said the white male entered the bank, approached the clerk with a gun and demanded money. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said the man was wearing dark clothing, a ball cap and sunglasses and had a goatee.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police said this robbery may be related to a bank robbery in Beaufort, South Carolina, on July 14.
