Deputies: 12 dogs removed from home

Authorities say dogs part of alleged dog fighting operation

WOODBINE, Ga. – The Camden County Sheriff's Office says it has removed 12 dogs from a home Tuesday in Camden County.

Authorities said they obtained a search warrant to find evidence of an alleged dog fighting operation that was being ran at the home.

Deputies said the 12 dogs belonged to 32-year-old Domonique Hargrave, of Kingsland. A number of the dogs, according to authorities, were thin and some were scarred.

A meth lab was also shut down at the same home on New Year's Day, according to authorities.

Authorities said a suspected fighting pit and other equipment used were also found at the home.

A logistics team from the Atlanta Humane Society provided logistical and veterinary support, along with an evaluation of the dogs that were seized.

Hargrave has not been charged with a crime, but authorities said the investigation continues.
