Missing woman, Ivy Merck, found alive in Miami

Woman last scene in Georgia Aug. 23

New developments in the search for 24-year-old Ivy Merck as her parents go public pleading for her to come home.

MIAMI, Fla. – Missing for 23 days, Ivy Dawn Merck has been found alive in South Florida Saturday and is with her family, according to the Camden County Sheriff's Office.

Public Information Officer William Terrell said Merck was discovered in Miami.  He did not reveal how the missing woman was located or what physical condition she was in.

Merck, a native of Camden County, Ga., who had recently been attending college in Athens, was last seen in Kingsland on Aug. 23.

Deputies found her Honda CRV in the parking lot of a Marshalls store in Deerfield Beach about 10 p.m., Aug. 29.

Terrell said more information about this case would be released at a later time.
