Deputies were called to the home about 8:30 a.m. and found Blount's wife with cuts to her left forearm, bruises on her right forearm and a small cut on her upper lip.

The deputy said she was crying and appeared to be shaken.

She told the deputy that Blount had accused her of taking his cellphone and when she said she didn't have it he got angry, took her wallet and pushed her, which caused her injuries.

Blount returned to the home while the deputy was there and said that his wife “had been drinking and was lying about the incident.”

The deputy noted in the report that he never detected signs of impairment in Blount's wife.

Blount shirt was torn and the deputy said there was blood under his lip.

Blount was booked into the Camden County Jail on a misdemeanor battery charge.
