Teen charged in Brunswick shooting outside convenience store

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Police in Glynn County charged a teenager in connection with a shooting outside a convenience store.

Just before 4 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the A1 convenience store on Newcastle St. in reference to someone having been shot.

When officers arrived, they found Thomas Dixon, 26, suffering from mulitple gunshot wounds to the back and arm.

Dixon was transported to Southeast Georgia Health System and was then transferred to Savannah Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Saturday night.

Police said the actual incident location was in the parking lot of the Arco Mini Mart on Norwich St.

After questioning witnesses, police arrested Eugene "Moody" Taylor, 17, at his home in Brunswick.

Taylor is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
