JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police officers in Lake City hope you'll join them for a free cup of coffee Friday.
They're holding the city's first "Coffee with a Cop" event.

It starts at 8 a.m. and runs until 10 at the McDonald's on West U.S. Highway 90, near Northwest Brookside Court.
The community is invited to talk with officers about any concerns or problems they may have.
Anyone who attends will get a free small coffee.
