Girl reported missing for over year says she's not missing

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children asked for help finding teen

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children asked for the public's help to find 17-year-old Renee Edenfield, who was reported missing from South Carolina for over a year.

But Edenfield walked into the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Thursday and said she's not missing; she fine.

The center sent out alerts Thursday saying Edenfield was last seen Jan. 29, 2016, in Spartanburg, S.C., and might still be in that area or could be in Jacksonville.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children spreads the word about hundreds of children who may be at risk and it was instrumental in locating Kamiyah Mobley, who was kidnapped as a newborn from a Jacksonville hospital 18 years ago.
