Three weeks after an 11-year-old girl suffered a head injury in a fall off a horse, she was released from the hospital.

Natasha Holt, the daughter of Jacksonville City Councilman Ray Holt, was injured while riding with her family and friends on Sept. 22.

According to police, Natasha hit her head on a tree as she fell from the horse. People at the scene did CPR to revive her, and a helicopter flew her to the hospital.

She was admitted to Wolfson Children's Hospital in critical condition and spent weeks in recovery.

Investigators say she was not wearing a helmet and the horse did not have a saddle.
