Grab a handful of healthy nuts

Even though they're high in fat, nuts are packed with nutrients!  The Food and Drug Administration even reported that eating 1.5 ounces of nuts a day could lead to a 7.4 percent reduction of bad cholesterol.

Almonds, hazel nuts, peanuts, walnuts and pistachios can all play a role in reducing the risk of heart disease.

A Purdue study also found that adults who eat nuts actually weigh less than adults who don't.

And if you like peanut butter, one study found that eating peanut butter for breakfast stabilizes blood sugar and reduces the desire to eat for up to eight to 12 hours!

Also considered a brain food because of the healthy amounts of vitamin E, peanuts can help prevent cognitive decline.

So go ahead and get a little nutty for a healthier you.
