Grand jury indicts 5 men in 4 murder cases

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Duval County grand jury has indicted five defendants arrested in four separate murder cases dating back to 2013.

Cedric Williams-Daniels was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent.

Williams-Daniels was 17 when he was accused in the fatal shooting 50-year-old Mark Taylor, a father of three who knew him.

According to police, Williams-Daniels lured Taylor to an apartment complex intending to rob him but shot and killed him.

"When the victim arrived, the suspect approached the victim's car, grabbed him and shot him one time in the torso," JSO Chief Chris Butler said. "As the victim ran away, the suspect followed him and shot him a second time, killing him." [FULL STORY]

Brothers Jonathan and Joshua Nibbelink were two of three men originally charged with the kidnapping and murder of Dwight Martin in what police called a drug deal gone bad.

They were indicted on charges of murder in the first degree, kidnapping and robbery after Martin's remains were found in the Hoot Owl Ridge neighborhood. [FULL STORY]

Rashawn Jackson was indicted on the home invasion and brutal murder of Teodore Rico-Soto after police found DNA matching Jackson's inside the trailer where Rico-Soto lived.

Jason Franklin was indicted on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Edward Gonzalez.

According to police, Gonzalez was the boss of Franklin's significant other at the time and was having an affair with her.

Franklin confronted Gonzalez at his home with his wife and kids and shot Franklin several times. [FULL STORY]
