ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -

If you're a fan of cocktails, there are a couple of places you should check out in St. Augustine. The first stop, the St. Augustine Distillery. Co-founder and CEO, Philip McDaniel, gave us a tour.

"Well it's an experience. Our whole concept is to educate people on how spirits are made. Literally from grain to bottle or cane to bottle."

In your 45 minutes touring the St. Augustine Distillery you'll learn all about how alcohol is produced. They walk you through how gin, vodka, rum and more are made, what craft spirits are and why they're better for you. At the end, as long as you are 21 or older, you get to sample.

"They're the best spirits in America. They're great. Our vodka is amazing," McDaniel said. "We had one of the local chain buyers in here about two weeks ago and he said he normally drinks Kettle One. After drinking our spirit, he said this is way better."

If you want to decide for yourself, you can really test out the fruits of their labor at the spot next door. The Ice Plant is a very unique spot with hand crafted cocktails. Not only do they use the locally made spirits, they take it one step further.

"We have a juicer that comes in everyday," owner Patricia Mcklemore told us. We juice everything from scratch. We make our own syrups, own soda, everything is natural that you're putting in your body."

You will feel like you're taking a step back in time when you walk in and that's exactly what they want. The owners spent a year and a half renovating so they could keep as much as possible original to the building, and the time period. You won't find many places like this here in Florida.

"If you get a seat at the bar it's entertaining to see how things were done back then and how they're done now," Mcklemore said.

True to the name, you get to pick the style of ice you prefer for each drink you order.
