JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Ground was broken Tuesday afternoon for a six-story, 607-space parking garage to be built next year on Hogan Street, between Bay and Water streets.

The garage is being built for Parador Partners, owner of the neighboring SunTrust Tower, by the Haskell Company. Construction of the $10 million structure is expected to be complete in September.

At the groundbreaking, officials said this is a piece of downtown revitalization and will help ease parking for visitors to the Jacksonville Landing.
