JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Gun Trader is hosting its 3rd gun show in partnership with the Morocco Shrine Center off St. Johns Bluff. Some of the proceeds will help benefit sick children at Shriners hospitals.

“It’s a fundraiser for the Shrine, for all the good things they do for children and it’s a gun show,” said Gun Trader Gun Show owner, Terry Jewell.

Jewell and Gun Trader do 40 shows a year in Florida, and this weekend they're coming to Jacksonville. For the third straight year they'll partner with the Morocco Shrine Center.

“Here, they do such great work and it’s a beautiful facility here. They’ve done gun shows in the past and it’s a good thing all the way around,” said Jewell.

Jewell said at this show they're doing two things at once: supporting the Morocco Shrine and all the children they help and providing people with a little bit of American history.

“There’s a lot of history and heritage, you might see a rare firearm that’s a lot of money that’s nice to look at… In addition to that, you can come out and support the Shrine. Fifty-percent of the proceeds go to the Shrine and they take it into their hospitals for kids,” said Jewell.

Jewell said you don't have to like guns to enjoy the show, there's something for the whole family, and you will learn about how our country evolved into what it is today.

“If you’ve never been to one, it’s kind of neat to come see this country heritage was built a lot on guns. The Second Amendment is strong in this nation and always will be,” said Jewell.

The Gun Trader show is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's six dollars to get in and all children under 12 get in free.
