'Guns N' Hoses' event benefits local charities

Amateur fighters with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Fire Rescue went head-to-head Saturday night for the annual Guns and Hoses charity boxing event.

The event is put on by the Fraternal Order of Police. Matches consist of three one-minute rounds.

The families of two fallen N-Y-P-D officers were guests of honor at the event. Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were shot and killed in the line of duty while sitting in their patrol car.

The police and firefighters duke it out to raise money for charities.

The earnings from the event go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Police Athletic League
