With new Speaker Richard Corcoran, R-Land O' Lakes, tightening rules on lobbyists, the House said Thursday it will offer training sessions to help lobbyists comply with the requirements.

The House will hold the sessions at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 13 and at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14, with the same content presented both days.

With Corcoran making the issue a priority, House members approved the rules last month.

Among other things, the rules include new reporting requirements for lobbyists who represent local governments and a ban on lobbyists texting House members during committee meetings and floor sessions.
