FHP has identified the driver as Joshua Gedraitis, 33. Police say Gedraitis was in the inside lane driving below the posted speed limit when for unknown reasons he veered into the emergency lane and over corrected. The car flipped multiple times ejecting Gedraitis who wasn't wearing a seat belt.

After the initial accident, all northbound traffic was diverted onto Philips Highway. One lane reopened about an hour later, then accident was cleared and all lanes open again until after 4 p.m.
