Police have announced an increased reward in the killing of an 83-year-old man in June in a South Metro home.
Robert Levey was found dead June 25 inside his home on Mimosa Drive, which was set on fire.
Investigators said they're looking for a white man in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds. He had shoulder-length brown hair at the time of the killing.
The man was wearing shorts, a green T-shirt, and carrying a black and white backpack. He was seen near Levey's home a little before 11 p.m.
Police said he may have sustained some injuries and left the area on foot.
First Coast Crime Stoppers has announced an increased reward of up to $5,000 in the case for a tip that leads to an arrest. The son of Levey has been able to raise these additional funds to put toward the reward to help solve his father's killing.
Anyone who has any information about the killing or arson is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
