JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville residents trying to reach some city numbers downtown were met with busy signals Wednesday morning after phone service went down.

The Main Public Library, City Hall, Supervisor of Elections Office, Jacksonville Fire Rescue non-emergency line and 630-CITY line were all down.

Also affected were the Emergency Operations Center, the St. James Building, Yates Building, Mental Health and Welfare, University Park Library, Jacksonville Children’s Commission and Gateway Tax Collector.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office non-emergency line was not affected. Neither was 911.

Officials worked with the phone company to resolve the issue and service was restored by noon.
