Jacksonville CPA firm acquires company

Patrick & Robinson acquires Petherbridge, Davis & Company

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two long-time North Florida certified public accounting practices recently became one -- the second recent acquisition by Patrick & Robinson CPAs.

The St. Nicholas/San Marco-headquartered firm serving individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations in business for 30 years acquired Petherbridge, Davis & Company, a CPA practice with more than 25 years' service to individuals and privately-held businesses. The combined firm will retain the Patrick & Robinson name.

The partners say that, just like their first acquisition, this growth is seen as a win-win for both firms' clients and staff. The immediate increase in professional depth and diversity provides more resources to meet growing client financial planning and accounting needs.

"John [Petherbridge] is a trusted colleague and respected businessman who built a great team that we're fortunate to have coming on board with us," said Mark Patrick. "We're excited that this acquisition will help us better serve our clients while still providing the personal attention they deserve."

According to Petherbridge, the respect between the two firms was mutual.

"I wanted to ensure our clients continued receiving the best service and advice available," said Petherbridge, now a principal with Patrick & Robinson CPAs. "It's clear Patrick & Robinson operates by the same client-care philosophy we did."

The Petherbridge Davis staff recently moved into the Patrick & Robinson offices, which were expanded a few years ago to accommodate future growth. In addition, Patrick & Robinson CPAs maintains an office in Sawgrass Village in Ponte Vedra.
