JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person shot at a Northwest Jacksonville home early Tuesday morning is being treated at a local hospital for a non life-threatening injury according to police.
Sgt. J.M. Paris of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said about 1 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of West 11th Street in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived they found one victim with a gunshot wound to the lower posterior.
Sgt. Paris said that person was taken to a local hospital and the Violent Crimes Task Force was taking over the investigation.
No information about the victim or suspected shooter could be given at the scene.
