“Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center provides a unique opportunity for Jacksonville in the international efforts to prevent, treat and cure cancer,” Khan said. “For this reason, we are making a significant commitment to create an endowment to support and help advance their efforts, specifically in the area of breast cancer which continues to impact the lives of women daily. This is a serious disease, and one that requires teamwork to defeat it, and we are honored to be a part of that team.”
“We are very grateful for Shad Khan’s generosity, which recognizes the transformational nature of the Baptist MD Anderson partnership and the world-renowned model of care it has brought to our region,” Greene said. “This gift is yet another indication of our longstanding relationship as the official health care provider of the Jacksonville Jaguars since 1993.”
