Jaxtoberfest heads back to town

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – People looking for some great beer and even better entertainment, are heading to the St. Johns Town Center over the weekend for the annual Jaxtoberfest.

The event kicked off around 4 p.m. Friday and will continue into Saturday.

Despite the reference to Octoberfest, Jaxtoberfest is kid and family friendly with inflatables and pumpkin bowling and even a dachshund race.

They're offering traditional German favorites like bratwurst and pretzels, and some of Jacksonville's food trucks are also joining the party.

Jaxtoberfest is open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Children 12 and under get in free and all other general admission tickets are $8.
