What do you see as the top three issues in this race?

  • Repealing ObamaCare – here is what we can do at the State level. Florida's governor or legislature could enact a moratorium on Obamacare rulemaking, which will permit the state to focus its limited regulatory resources on core essential functions of government. A moratorium could be issued under the premise that Obamacare places an increased burden on struggling small business owners and impedes Florida's economic growth and prosperity. There are four main steps that should be taken to nullify the Affordable Care Act on a state level. While each one of these steps alone won't result in a nullification of the act nationally, they're all an important piece of the puzzle. An act of resistance in one state leads to courage and doing the same in another.
Step 1: Ban State Enforcement, Participation and Material Support
         Step 2: Reject Medicaid Expansion
Step 3: Protect Residents from Mandates
Step 4: Challenge the IRS's illegal ObamaCare taxes
  • Encouraging economic growth by creating a one-stop regulatory shop with a pre-defined check list to help people open a small business more quickly. We must also do more to help military veterans by fully funding Veterans healthcare benefits and by waiving licensing fees for veterans so they can more easily start a business. Deepening our port in Jacksonville is also critically important not only for our city but for all of Florida. We must expand our logistical capacity.
  • Opposing Common Core education standards. Floridians must keep the federal government from having direct oversight of our classrooms.
