ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A Jacksonville Electric Authority security officer was recognized for helping people involved in a crash in St. Johns County.
JEA Officer Scott Alverson was the first person on the scene of an early morning accident where he provided immediate medical care to the patients injured in the crash.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue said he helped the victims remain calm in a stressful situation. Once firefighters arrived, Officer Alverson transitioned to his role as a security officer and managed the scene until law enforcement arrived.
SJCFR and JEA recognized Officer Alverson for his actions, thanking him for his commitment to protect and serve the citizens of northeast Florida.
