JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Fire destroyed a garage and burned several cars Wednesday morning at a home on Alexis Forest Drive in Mandarin, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
The garage at 11578 Alexis Forest Drive was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived and flames were shooting through the roof of the home. It took about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control.
Two people were inside the home when the fire started, but they were able to get out of house, and no injuries have been reported, according to fire officials.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.
