Police say victim suffers gunshot wound to leg

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was taken to the hospital and police say another person was hurt after a shooting in Jacksonville.

Officers were dispatched at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday to Boilard Drive in reference to a person shot.

Police said one victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Shands, who said the victim's injuries are non-life-threatening.

The second victim suffered a minor injury and was not taken to the hospital.

One victim told the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office that the unknown suspect or suspects may have been in a white car. Police said the victim was unable to provide any further suspect information at this time.

The suspect or suspects in this shooting incident are still at large, police said.
