JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two women were injured in a drive-by shooting on Smyrna Street on the Northside on Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police responded to the 7200 block of Smyrna Street near Lem Turner Road around 8:40 p.m. and found two women shot.

The victims, identified as 58-year-old Nina Steward and 39-year-old Charlene Cooper, were inside a car with a man outside of a home on Smyrna Street. They were transported to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the man who was with the victims is cooperating with the investigation.
No information was available on the shooter or shooters.
