JSO hosts press conference Friday on Domestic Violence Awareness

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will host a press conference Friday to commemorate October as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

It will be held at Hubbard House, a place dedicated to people seeking help from domestic violence.

JSO is expected to release findings and recommendations from the 2015 Fatality Report Committee.

Surrounding counties' domestic violence shelter executives and law enforcement will also attend.

The city has a program for domestic violence victims called INVEST.
