JSO: Kangaroo station robbed in Baldwin

BALDWIN, Fla. – A Kangaroo gas station on U.S. 301 in Baldwin was robbed early Monday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said a man entered the business at 1081 U.S. Hwy 301 just before 4:30 a.m. Monday and told the clerk to give him money from the register. The clerk handed the man cash.

The man, who is described as a white man in his 40s, between 6 feet and 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing between 250 and 300 pounds, was caught on surveillance video. The man was wearing a blue baseball cap, blue T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police said the man acted as if he might have a firearm but never displayed a weapon or threatened the clerk. 

The man fled in a silver four-door vehicle (pictured) and appeared to be the driver of the car.
