JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot in the butt Monday on Brooklyn Avenue, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded to the Emergency Room at UF Health Jacksonville around 7:05 p.m. after JSO received reports a man had been shot in the butt.

The man told police a silver or white car drove by the area of 2100 Brooklyn Avenue and shot him as he was walking.
Detectives are investigating the shooting.
No other details were released.
