Man accused of robbing southside CVS, got away with money

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of robbing a Southside CVS store Monday.

Police said around 1:30 a.m. a man approached the counter at the CVS at 6005 St. Augustine Road, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the store on foot, according to police.

The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned, skinny, black man, between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He wore a shiny silver earring, gray sweatpants and a purple polo-style shirt. The shirt was on backwards with the collar flipped up in the front.
