JSO seeks help identifying burglar

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking the community to help identify a man suspected in a burglary and attempted auto theft.

On Oct. 5, a burglary was reported at Marilyn Louise Shrimps at 5084 Heckscher Drive. The burglar reportedly entered the business, broke into a cabinet holding video camera and surveillance equipment and took the equipment.

The man (pictured) then attempted to take two vehicles by breaking their steering columns but failed in both attempts.

The man is believed to have left the knife he used as a burglary tool in one of the vehicles. The video surveillance equipment was found outside the business in a plastic bag the burglar had placed the equipment in before leaving the office.
