JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police officers chased a man on foot who ran from a traffic stop Thursday morning near the Florida State College at Jacksonville South Campus, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officers made a traffic stop on Beach Boulevard in front of the campus, and one man was taken into custody, but the other ran onto the campus, police said.

He was caught and arrested after a brief foot chase, police said.
JSO has not said why officers pulled the vehicle over.
