According to reports from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Cornelius Walston got into a fight with the two victims at Club Myth in Fleming Island. The fight started inside the bar and then carried over into the club's parking lot.

Deputies said, during the fight in 2009, Walston stabbed David Smith, 24, in the chest and Kevin Martin, 24, in the left arm. Smith died at the scene, and Martin died at the hospital. Smith and Martin were Orange Park residents.

"This defendant took everything from these two young men -- their pasts, their presents and their futures -- when he took their lives. The defendant now faces life in prison for this double murder," said Assistant State Attorney James Colaw.

According to Clay County court public records, Walston's sentencing was rescheduled for June 28th.
