COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Louisiana man was arrested Wednesday in Columbia County on drug charges.
Investigators said they contacted 49-year-old Peter Guarisco in the parking lot of a Walmart. They said Guarisco was sitting in his car, and they found that he did not have a valid driver's license from any state and only possessed an identification card from Louisiana.

As deputies continued their investigation, an open container of alcohol was seen in the car, along with a device commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, investigators said.
They said they arrested Guarisco and found about 8 grams of methamphetamine and prescription narcotics. The prescription narcotics were not prescribed to Guarisco, deputies said. They said they found more than 3,000 cash in his possession.
Guarisco was booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility on multiple charges.
