Lake City photographer sentenced for possessing child porn

Ronald Waters, 66, to serve 3 years in federal prison

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Lake City photographer was sentenced Tuesday to three years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.

Court documents state that through investigations, agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations found that several people had received an email containing images of child porn -- that email being found to belong to Ronald Charles Waters, 66.

According to the Department of Justice, HSI agents and other law enforcement officers seized an external media storage device that contained at least two videos and at least 16 images depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct while executing a search warrant at Waters' residence on Nov. 20, 2013.

Waters reportedly admitted he knowingly possessed the videos and images.

The court ordered Waters to serve a seven-year term of supervision and to register as a sex offender following his release from prison.
