Lake City shooting suspect turns self in

Police still searching for Ronyeah Wright

LAKE CITY, Fla. – One of the two men sought in a shooting near a Lake City park turned himself in to police Tuesday evening.  

Bennie Jordan, 40, turned himself in to Hamilton County authorities after his photo was released by the Lake City Police Department earlier Tuesday.

Police were still searching for another suspect, Ronyeah Wright, 19, who is considered armed and dangerous and may be in the Jacksonville area. 

A third suspect, Raeshaun Jordan, 16, turned himself in to the Lake City Police Department after an arrest warrant was issued. He is currently detained by the Department of Juvenile Justice without bond.

Three people were shot on March 31 near Annie Mattox Park.

Travarious Frank Claridy, 16, was flown to UF Health Gainesville.  He died from his injuries several days later.

The other two victims were treated at local hospitals.
