Landing announces Ga.-Fla. weekend events

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Landing has announced plans for the Georgia-Florida weekend.

Activities are scheduled to take place on Hogan Street, in the Landing's courtyard and inside various Landing restaurants and nightclubs. The complete schedule for this year's events is as follows:

Thursday

  • Live music on the Coca-Cola Riverfront Stage by 418 Band from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Halloween Hair Ball presented by 107.3 JACK FM and X102.9 featuring a $1,000 costume contest at Mavericks. Doors open at 6 p.m.
  • Moulin Rouge Latin Halloween at VooDoo Ultra Lounge

Friday

  • DJ Capone and Company with host Chris Cantillo from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. with live music by Austin Park from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on the Coca-Cola Riverfront Stage.
  • DJ Kevin Tos spinning top 40 hits on the Hogan Street Stage from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Live music at Fionn MacCool's by Kracka Jaxx from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Georgia-Florida Pep Rally Dance Party at Mavericks. Doors open at 6 p.m.
  • Georgia-Florida Halloween Takeover with Deja Voo at VooDoo Ultra Lounge

Saturday

  • DJ Capone and Company with host Chris Cantillo from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. with live music by Split Tone from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on the Coca-Cola Riverfront Stage
  • DJ Kevin Tos spinning top 40 hits on the Hogan Street Stage from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Live music by Austin Park at Fionn MacCool's from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Georiga-Florida viewing party at Mavericks. Doors open at noon. After the game, the party will continue all night long.
  • Georgia-Florida Takeover for HYPE Saturdays at VooDoo Ultra Lounge

In addition to the Courtyard and Street Festival activities, fans can enjoy lunch and dinner at any of the Landing's seven waterfront restaurants. The Landing also offers two nightclubs, Maverick's and VooDoo Ultra Lounge.

The Sideline Safety Zone will return to the first floor location inside the old Starbucks location next to Village Bread Cafe. The Safety Zone is for anyone requesting assistance during the event. Amenities inside the Safety Zone will include access to transportation, directions, first aid and medical support, water, telephone service, cellphone charges, snacks, coffee, maps and other information. The Zone will be open Friday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday from noon to 2 a.m.

The Landing will be gating Friday and Saturday, and a $10 charge will be collected at the entry gates. Children 12 and under accompanied by a parent will be free. Patrons will be able to enjoy lunch on Friday and Saturday without paying an entry fee.

Any outside coolers, glass bottles, weapons, chairs, cups, cans, backpacks, food or drinks, Halloween costume masks (or anything that covers the face), and flying objects are prohibited. In addition, purses and bags will be subject to being searched.
