Lee High evacuation over, school safe

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Duval County school officials confirm the school was evacuated and searched for a bomb, but nothing suspicious was found.

Parents began calling and contacting others on social media about noon asking about the evacuation of the school and asking if it there was a bomb threat.

About 30 minutes later a school spokeswoman did say the school was evacuated while police searched, but there was no word why.  By the time officials confirmed there was a bomb threat, the all-clear was sounded and students were being allowed to return to the buildings.

Channel 4's crew at the school was kept blocks away and given no information during the evacuation.  Some parents who heard about the evacuation were frustrated at the lack of information and went to the school, but they were also kept at a distance.
