Life sentence in burglary conviction

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 35-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison for his conviction on charges of burglary with assault or battery.

Florezell Faulk was found guilty of the charge in September.

In January 2015, the victim went an Atlantic Beach nightclub to pick up a friend. While the victim waited in the parking lot, Faulk jumped in the front passenger seat of the car, demanded money and assaulted her. Faulk repeatedly punched the victim, ripped hair from her head and bit her. Faulk was later arrested by police.

Faulk is classified as a "prison release re-offender" with prior convictions for felony battery, sale and possession of cocaine and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
