Local restaurants raise money to fight hunger

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Local restaurants came together for the 25th annual FOODFIGHT.

The event raised an estimated $50,000 on Tuesday night to help people in need.

Attendees got the opportunity to sample for tasty dishes from Jacksonville's best restaurants, all while raising money to fight hunger and support familiar that are struggling.

This was all made possible through Lutheran Social Services of Northeast Florida and the Nourishment Network.

Since 1989 FOODFIGHT has raised more than $1 million in the fight against hunger.
