JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - Police in Jacksonville Beach have arrested one man and are looking for two others in connection with a gang-related double shooting Monday night. The man arrested was one of two people shot.
Police said that about 11 p.m. Monday, three people got in an argument -- two against one -- near the intersection of Third Avenue South and Seventh Street South. They said two of the suspects began shooting at each other, and 25-year-old Iesha Mann was caught in the crossfire. Police said she was not involved in the confrontation.
Mann (pictured right) was flown to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center with a gunshot wound to her back. She was last said to be in serious condition.
Daniel Jarrett, 17, of Jacksonville Beach, was also injured in the shooting and ended up at Baptist Medical Center Beaches, where he was arrested on attempted murder charges. His injuries were non-life-threatening.
Police said the two others involved in the argument -- 19-year-old Denard Robinson, a.k.a. "Scooter," and 35-year-old Vernon Robinson, a.k.a. "Yodi" -- are wanted on attempted murder charges. Vernon Robinson is also facing a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The two are believed to be somewhere in Jacksonville.
Police said Jarrett and Denard Robinson are documented members of known gangs, but not Vernon Robinson. Investigators didn't say what led to the shootings.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call the Jacksonville Beach Police Department at 904-270-1667 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
