1 dead, 2 children seriously hurt in Suwannee Co. crash

Troopers say 2 were not wearing seat belts during crash

SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. – A 33-year-old woman is dead and two children were seriously hurt in a crash that happened in Suwannee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident happened after 1:30 p.m. Sunday at CR-137 and 192nd Street.

Heather Raulerson, 33, was traveling southbound on CR-137 in a 2000 Ford F-250, troopers said.

Raulerson entered a lefthand curve and partially drove onto the southbound shoulder with right-side tires.

Troopers said Raulerson then overcorrected, steering right and the F-250 began rotating clockwise.

As the F-250 re-entered the northbound lane, troopers said the truck overturned, ejecting Raulerson from the truck.

Raulerson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said Devin Raulerson, 13, and Shelby Raulerson, 12, were both taken to Shands at UF Gainesville with serious injuries.

According to the FHP, Heather, Devin and Shelby Raulerson were both not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
